Develop Healthy Habits

Wellness Practices

An important part of managing the college experience and transitioning into the profession is learning to maintain a work life balance. Students are introduced are introduced to concepts of wellness through a daily wellness hour which includes, exercise, yoga, and reflective practices such as art or journal writing. Student are introduced to mindfulness practices from trained experts. Students visit The Zone on the UCSD campus and learn  about wellness stress reduction and well-being resources available on campus. With these skills and resources, students are readily prepared to encounter University culture and its challenges with mindful avenues for support and wellness.
